Database/Data Mining

The area includes both fundamental and applied research in database management, data warehousing, and data mining. Faculty research includes development of methodologies for designing corporate database and data warehouse; storage, retrieval, and mining of semi-structured data such as XML and unstructured data such as multimedia and full-text; workflow management, and mobile databases. Research has been conducted in application areas such as GIS, healthcare, electronic commerce, and interactive e-learning.
